I was browsing through in my favorite site for information about a certain legendary lense this morning. I found what i was looking for and sighed at the unexpected price of that lense. Anyway, something caught my eye and immediately opened up the link. It says .. ehem .. Canon releases service notice for PowerShot G10 .. OMG!

I recently purchased a G10 unit for my wife. She was really² happy. It was a Valentine’s Day gift since i figured that she was really interested since playing with my SLR camera too frequent. Of course, she was happy. It costs a fortune too huhuuu ..

Ermm .. back to the story .. So there i was reading through the article in dpreview.com about the phenomenon of the unexplained G10 problem. It has nothing to do with the settings nor the camera itself but Canon is calling back all G10 units for free repairs. When i checked Canon Malaysia, NOTHING was mentioned about this. This is really² wierd so i emailed one of the managers of Sabah’s Canon Marketing for inquiries. Funny that they didn’t know about this defect kan?
